'Supergirl' TV Series News: Main Characters and Plot Details Revealed

In the past, TV audiences have been entertained by the adventures of Clark Kent in "Lois and Clark" and "Smallville." Right now, superhero mania is alive and well as millions tune in weekly to watch The CWs "Arrow" and "The Flash." But how long will it be until a female superhero comes along to save the day on TV?

Recently, CBS confirmed that Krypton's other survivor and Kal-El's cousin, Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl, will be having her own show on the network. Fans are excited as it has been a while since Lynda Carter's turn as Wonder Woman on the small screen, and since then there has not been another show about a female superhero.

According to Screenrant, CBS' Supergirl won't have its heroine recently discovering her powers or learning how to hide them just like her cousin did. The 24-year old Kara is said to be able to hide her abilities well and live unnoticed among humans.
