'Supernatural' News, Update: New Promo Trailer Teases A "Dark, Darker, Darkness" Season 11
The CW's hit supernatural drama TV series "Supernatural" is already past its decade mark but the signs seem to suggest that the show isn't slowing even one bit of a notch and it probably never will.
This week sees the debut of the high-octane promo trailer for the show's upcoming second season. Filled with dark, gory, and intense moments with some hilarious scenes thrown into the mix, the highlight reel just amped up the excitement of fans who have been waiting for the arrival of Season 11 to the small screens.
One of the highlights shown in the clip involves the Winchester brothers asking God for help in battling The Darkness, which earlier reports teased is so mysterious and so old that it predates the Biblical times.
"If you can hear me God, we need your help," Sam (Jared Padalecki) was heard saying.
What follows are scenes of the tragic events that are expected to go down this season which, apart from The Darkness crisis, also includes the torturing of Sam, Castiel battling Rowena's spell, as well as other issues which the trio will meet along the way.
During the Fall TV Show preview Q&A segment with TVLine, executive producer Jeremy Carver seems to reiterate the idea that Season 11 could be the show's darkest yet.
The situation is so dire that both Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam will "have to make some unexpected and unholy alliances involving folks from the past" – a decision which will certainly result to some "personal ramifications."
When probed further if these people from the past would also involve those who are already dead, Carver replied:
"We're talking about a fight that is going to incorporate the likes of Heaven and Hell and those on Earth. So there's certainly opportunity to see folks that have departed (via TVLine)."
