'Supernatural' Season 10 Spoilers: Sam and Castiel to Realize Dean's Demon In Season Premiere
"Supernatural" does not return until the fall, but fans can already learn what to expect from Dean Winchester once season 10 premieres on The CW.
During the season nine finale, Dean's fate hung in the balance before he was overtaken by a demon. The finale left fans wondering how Castiel and Dean's brother Sam will handle the news.
"[Cas] doesn't know what happened to Dean," executive producer Jeremy Carver tells TVLine. "You've got to remember, Sam put Dean down on the bed dead. [He] comes back in the room [and] Dean's not there. So no one knows what happened."
As previously reported, Dean's demonic personality will remain throughout the entire first half of season 10 of "Supernatural." Moreover, the devil inside of Dean will encounter an intense fling in his second episode on the television series, TVLine reported. The fling will take place between Dean and a "tough but sympathetic roadhouse waitress named Ann Marie."
In other news surrounding the 10th season of "Supernatural," the season premiere is entitled "Soul Survivor." During it, a new character named Rowena will be introduced. The brand new character is a tough but elegant woman who will stop at nothing to reclaim her power base, according to TVLine. However, The CW has not yet filled the role, which calls for an actress who has or can imitate a Scottish accent.
Mark Sheppard, who portrays Crowley, has been promoted to a series regular for season 10 as well. The demonic character first appeared on "Supernatural" during season five as the King of Crossroads. In light of Dean turning into a demon at the end of season nine, he will likely call on Crowley to help him.
"Supernatural" season 10 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 7. Beforehand on Oct. 6, The CW is airing a "Supernatural" retrospective to help fans revisit the past nine seasons.
