'Supernatural' Season 11 Spoilers: Brothers to Fight Common Enemy, Spinoff Coming Soon?

The 10th installment of the fantasy horror television series "Supernatural" just ended and fans are left with a finale with lots of loose ends. But those who are eager to get the latest scoop about the show will need not to worry as there are spoilers already on what to expect for the upcoming season 11.

For starters, the brothers Dean and Sam Winchester (Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, respectively) will be fighting side by side against the Darkness on the next season. In an interview at Comic-Con in July, Ackles revealed that season 11 will feature once again the original format of the show.

"One of things I like about [the Season 11 storyline] is it's going back to the original format of having both brothers unaffected, meaning not drinking demon blood, not with the Mark of Cain on their arm," Ackles said.

Noted in Comic Book Resources, Padalecki also shared his thoughts about the new season.

"One of the things I'm most excited about personally is that the brothers are brothers again. We've had so many years of Benny or Ruby or soulless or Mark of Cain or something where these boys have had reasons to be apart," the actor said.

But since they have no idea about the Darkness, it may be challenging for them to fight it off even if the brothers have each other's back. Castiel, played by Misha Collins, will also help the brothers fight evil but before he could even do so, he will have to deal with the consequences of the attack dog spell that made him stab Crowley, the King of hell.

While season 11 is on its way, rumors about a spinoff is making it rounds. According to Breathecast, CW president Mark Pedowitz spoke at the 2015 Television Critics Association summer press tour about a spinoff of the long-running television drama. Pedowitz neither confirmed nor denied the possibility of it and merely said that the network would love to do one. He also added that it probably will not take place this year, but at some point.

Fans will just have to stay tuned then. "Supernatural" Season 11 is set to premiere on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
