'Supernatural' Season 12 Air Date and Cast Members: Dean to Save Sam from the British Men of Letters
"Supernatural" Season 12 will set out Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) away from one another in the first few episodes. However, with the show's previous themes, the brothers will not be away from each other for a long time. The Winchesters have been helping each other out in whatever catastrophe they get into.
Dean and Sam's journey has been challenged by a lot of elements. In fact, it was seen in the 11th season finale that Sam was shot by Toni and will be in the hands of the British Men of Letters. In that final moment, Sam thought Dean had died in his fight against The Darkness.
With the events that unfolded, Dean is in the darkness, not knowing where Sam is. Sam, on the other hand, did not think his brother would be alive and try to save him. However, Dean will not just leave the situation as it is. He will look for a way to find Sam and eventually, save him.

Executive producer Robert Singer stated that the rescue will not take a lot of episodes to happen. However, while rescuing Sam, there will be a lot of happenings along the way that will try to hinder Dean from his mission. Singer added that the flow of events will involve all the characters in the show.
Aside from dealing with Sam's loss, Dean Winchester will also deal with the return of their biological mother, Mary Winchester (Samantha Smith). This significant event in the show will have Dean handle different emotions. He would feel mixed up with all the things that happened to them, without their mother to guide them for 30 years. The years that went by with them separated will definitely have an impact to their relationship as family.
What to expect?
Dean and Sam have always been together in their quests; and the only way to capture one is to trap the other. In the upcoming season, Mary will be an instrument from the darkness to capture the brothers. Mary might become the most vulnerable vessel for both brothers.
The twelfth season of the show will be all about the family and how they deal with the missing years. Dean will be busy dealing with both the loss of Sam and their mother's resurrection.
