'Supernatural' Season 12 Episode 10 Spoilers: More Of Castiel's Secrets To Be Revealed
Castiel's (Misha Collins) past will catch up to him in the form of an avenging sorceress in the upcoming episode of "Supernatural."
In the episode titled "Lily Sunder Has Some Regrets," the synopsis (as seen on CarterMatt) reveals that the angel will be hunted by a woman named Lily Sunder (guest star Alicia Witt). She and Castiel have a horrible history, as he and a band of angels were allegedly the ones who killed her family. Lily has waited for over a century to get her revenge, embracing black magic for the much-awaited faceoff. Castiel knows she is coming because the angels that he served with many years ago are being killed off one by one.
Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will do their best to protect their angel friend, but Lily may just be too powerful for them. She has her sights set on Castiel, and anyone who gets in her way must die.

Recently, executive producer Andrew Dabb shared that there are going to be three episodes focusing on Castiel in season 12. The first one, scheduled to air on Feb. 2, would reveal a secret from the angel's past. The Winchesters have always known that Castiel is one of God's soldiers. As the years passed, they became friends. Castiel even risked his life to save Dean from Hell. Still, there are many parts of Castiel's long life that the brothers do not know about.
"[The episode] presents a lost chapter of Castiel's history. [He] was part of the battalion that was watching Earth. He was the guy that harrowed Hell to rescue Dean Winchester. We established that, and now we're taking a little twist on it and telling a lost story from his past that involves [guest star] Alicia Witt," Dabb reveals to TVLine.
"Supernatural" season 12 episode 10 airs Thursday, Feb. 2, at a new time of 8 p.m. EST on the CW.
