Surface Pro 4 News: Next Gen Tablet-Laptop Hybrid to Be Released Soon?
As people are constantly on the lookout for the latest tablets and laptops on the market, Microsoft Surface general manager Brian Hall said in his blog post that the Surface Pro should not be overlooked as the gadget is reportedly "here to stay."
In his blog post, he answered some concerns about the gadget's long-term usefulness and relevance when it comes to individual or business usage.
"It is a great device for fun but also great for getting things done," Hall wrote. "Most businesses are buying Surface when their employees need a laptop and want to avoid having to buy or carry an iPad too … One device means less to buy, deploy, manage and secure."
Hall also stressed that Surface Pro 3 is for work and that Microsoft built it for that expressly for that purpose.
"Wherever you are, you have a powerful, light single device that can nearly do everything you need," he said.
Many top tier companies have reportedly switched to the Surface Pro 3, including BMW, Coca Cola, Louis Vuitton, University of Pittsburg Medical Center, and Avanade, among others.
With the success of the Surface Pro 3, many are now on the lookout for the next generation tablet/laptop hybrid, the Surface Pro 4. As of now, Microsoft has not confirmed that they are working on another Surface Pro, but rumors regarding its specs and features have started to circulate online early this year.
The Surface Pro 4 is rumored to have the same 12-inch display as its predecessor and is expected to run on the newly released Windows 10. It will reportedly be compatible with the Surface Pro 3's accessories and it is said to be released sometime in 2015.
