Suri Cruise Turns 10: Hollywood Child Hosts Sophisticated Birthday Luncheon
Tom Cruise's beautiful daughter has finally reached the Big 10 and to celebrate her big day, mom Katie Holmes helped her daughter host a luncheon party on Sunday for her maternal grandparents and two friends.
According to E! News, Suri Cruise hosted a courtyard birthday luncheon as part of her three-day celebrations. They enjoyed the courtyard with food including hamburgers and freshly baked cookies to please the kids' appetites. "Suri and two young friends were escorted by Katie Holmes and her parents for lunch at Tavern on the Green," a source told the outlet.
Another source told People that Holmes finished off her plate as Suri and her friends opted for cookies straight from the oven of Central Park eatery. No "Happy Birthday" song was sang but the small group looked happy, the eyewitness said.
The weekend was full of fun for Suri as another insider said she and her mother enjoyed time with about 50 people, mostly composed of kids, at Dave and Buster's. Aside from games and car racing, the bigger group also played games.
The famous celebrity daughter who appeared first in Vanity Fair's cover 10 years ago also had enough of her traditional cupcake-eating day. Holmes shared a photo of kids indulging into the cupcake madness courtesy of Georgetown Cupcakes.
On Monday, which is Suri's actual birthday, the mother-and-daughter pair proceeded to the Sunrise Day Camp, a New York City camp for kids with cancer. The two reportedly arrived at around 4:30 PM and left the site about an hour later.
Suri was dressed in a pink dress and matched her getup with pink flats. To complete the "pretty in pink" outfit, she adorned her hair with a pink bow and also clutched a library book in her hand.
In 2012, Holmes filed for divorce from a stunned Cruise, who never expected the split at that time. Multiple outlets reported then that the exes have decided to allow Suri to live with her mother in New York while Cruise was given visitation rights.
