'Survivor: Kaoh Rang – Brawn vs Brains vs Beauty' Spoilers: What Jeff Probst Thinks of Scot Pollard's Chances This Season

Former NBA player Scot Polard is one of the castaways in the upcoming season of "Survivor," and Jeff Probst shared what he thought of Scot's chances.

During his interview with Dalton Ross of Entertainment Weekly, the "Survivor" host said that the 6-foot-11 player may easily be a targeted by the other castaways because of his gigantic height. "I think his size makes him a target for early speculation," Jeff said. "So being recognized is definitely a concern, but I think he has a pretty good story prepared to explain why he could still deserve to win," the host added.

Besides Scot's height, one of his other disadvantages is the fact that Scot's also a well-known athlete, having played for five NBA teams in 11 years, namely Detroit Pistons, Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Boston Celtics. He and the rest of the Celtics even won a championship during his final season in the NBA.

Jeff also described Scot as a free-spirited guy, but is also someone that the other contestants have to take seriously. "He's a big guy with a big personality that can swing from a true gentle giant that will take care of you to a guy who would just as soon bury you — with a shovel," Jeff said. Fans will have to stay tuned to see how far Scot can go in the game.

Inside Survivor posted an episode synopsis of the premiere, which is titled "I'm a Mental Giant," and it reads, "Castaways embark on the most grueling 39 days in Survivor history and test whether brute strength, looks or smarts will be the attribute that helps capture the title of Sole Survivor. Also, one castaway deals with excruciating pain when a bug gets stuck in their ear."

Watch the premiere of "Survivor: Kaoh Rang – Brawn vs Brains vs Beauty" on CBS this Feb. 17, Wednesday.
