'Switched at Birth' Season 4 News, Spoilers: Bay Gets Excited With Her New Relationship

Things are expected to get even more interesting as the fourth season of ABC Family's hit family drama TV series "Switched at Birth" continues this week with an episode that will see Bay getting a little bit giddy over a new love interest.

In fact, a promo trailer for the upcoming segment titled "The Accommodations of Desire" showed Bay showcasing her artworks to someone while at the same time smoothly asking him out for a "drawing session." See the video below:

During an interview with Talk Nerdy With Us, Vanessa Marano, who plays the Kennish daughter, said that all the struggles and heartaches her character went through are essentially part of Bay's growth. Fans may remember that she had to forgo her plans of moving to California to join Emmett (Sean Berdy) in order to save Daphne (Katie Leclerc).

"This season is like her taking back her life and doing things for her," the actress said (via TNWU).

Talking about Bay's relationship with Emmett, Marano clarified that it's not really the guy's disability that makes things complicated for them. It is, in fact, how they treat each other that caused the fall out.

"I think what people love so much about them is that there's this destiny aspect about them. He's deaf, she's hearing, yet somehow they're able to understand each other and make it work," she shared to the website.

"That's beautiful and romantic. But when they're actually together they just end up hurting each other which is terrible," she added.

The synopsis for the new episode, meanwhile, tackled Bay's initiative to get on a new relationship. It is said that others might feel "dubious" as to how fast things are moving for her while Daphne's relationship with Mingo (Adam Hagenbuch) is put to the test by her correspondence with a guy she met in Mexico.

"Switched at Birth" Season 4 airs Mondays on ABC Family.
