'Switched at Birth' Season 5 Episode 9: Bay Meets Travis' Birth Mom

Travis (Ryan Lane) and Bay (Vanessa Marano) will be meeting the former's birth mother in the upcoming episode of "Switched at Birth."

In the episode titled "The Wolf Is Waiting," the synopsis (according to TV Guide) reveals that the couple will have dinner with Travis' biological mom. It is an opportunity for him to get to know her more and to introduce his girlfriend as well. Bay is looking forward to the meeting since she knows it means a lot to Travis.

Unfortunately, things will not progress as planned when Travis starts remembering how abused he was when he was a child. Bay will have to step up and comfort him, making sure that his newfound relationship with his mom will not go down the drain.

Meanwhile, Daphne (Katie Leclerc) is determined to help out Chris (Sam Adegoke) after blowing the whistle on his steroid use. When they were out on a date, Chris' nose started to bleed. Daphne also saw that he had bruises all over his body. The doctor confirmed her suspicions that Chris has been using steroids. In fact, most of the members of the baseball team are utilizing the drug. Daphne told Kathryn (Lea Thompson) the truth, and through her, the school has decided to make the team take a mandatory drug test.

Daphne wants to make it up to Chris, but is she willing to help him cheat on an exam?

Chris has been nice to her although he is not Mingo (Adam Hagenbuch). Daphne actually went out with him to forget her ex-boyfriend. Bay warned her to be careful since Chris has been known in campus to be a player. Daphne can see, though, that he is sincere with her. Will she finally get over Mingo with Chris' help, or will they just be buddies at the end?

"Switched at Birth" season 5 episode 9 will air Tuesday, April 4, at 9 p.m. EDT on Freeform.
