'Switched at Birth' Season 5 Spoilers News: 100th Episode and More March Installments Detailed
Exciting plot details about the upcoming episodes of "Switched at Birth" season 5 for the month of March have been released by Freeform.
The first episode for March is titled "Four Ages in Life" and will see Daphne (Katie Leclerc) volunteer at a health center, whose medical mentor begins to "make multiple mistakes with his patients."
This "Switched at Birth" season 5 installment, which will air March 7, will be followed by a two-week hiatus. The show will return with its 100th episode, "Memory (The Heart)."
The special episode was directed by Lea Thompson and will see Gilles Marini reprise his role as Angelo, who Bay (Vanessa Marano) and Daphne begin to miss following an introduction.
This episode is made more special as it occurs in the final season of "Switched at Birth." There have been a lot of talks about this installment.
"[Angelo's] death had been such an incredibly emotional episode, such a turning point for the girls so that was really, really touching and I'm really excited about that episode and Lea Thompson directed it," show creator Lizzy Weiss told The Hollywood Reporter.
"We chose to have her do that episode so it feels personal and intimate. Whenever one of your own actors directs, it just feels really special on set. To have such an emotional episode in which the girls revisit with Angelo in sort of a surprising, sad way was really cool," she went on to say.
After this "emotional" episode, "Switched at Birth" season 5 will then be back a week later with "Left in Charge," in which Bay and Daphne throw a "lights on" party at their apartment.
They did this just so they can afford to pay their electric bill. However, things spiral out of control when uninvited guests crash the party and go wild. It looks like there will be more money to spend just dealing with this chaos.
After these episodes, there will only be two more left in "Switched at Birth" season 5 as it was only given the green light for 10 episodes.
"Switched at Birth" season 5 will air a new episode today called "Occupy Truth," on Feb. 28 at 9 p.m. ET on Freeform. It will be told from the perspective of black students at the University of Missouri. Weiss shared a snippet from the episode.
