'Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization' Release Date: Deluxe Edition Hits PC This Week

The role-playing game "Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" is officially coming to PC this week with the Deluxe Edition available for purchase Friday, Oct. 27.

This marks exactly one year after the title was initially it was released on the PlayStation 4 (PS4) in Japan. It was in November last year that the rest of the world got their hands on the game.

The "Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" Deluxe Edition bundles the game with all the downloadable content (DLC) released for the hit title in addition to the three-part Abyss of the Shrine Maiden. This serves as the latest story expansion that was rolled out for the game with the third chapter released just last month.

Gamers have been waiting for the game to be released on the PC so its release to the platform has many excited. The official description for "Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" reads:

Kirito receives a single mysterious message — a cryptic "I'm back to Aincrad" — and is drawn once again into a familiar world in which he was once trapped ...

Old friends, new mysteries. Explore this new world of Ainground with Asuna, Leafa, Silica, Klein, and other old friends as well as 300 NPC players you can get to know and recruit into your party.

"Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" offers players the "ultimate single-player" massively multiplayer online (MMO) simulation that is unlike no other. It also comes with a "robust" online multiplayer campaign that features eight-man raids that allow four real players and four virtual players.

"Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization" is not the only game in the franchise to expect. A new installment titled "Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet" will be released next year. The former is the subject of the first half of the anime while the second half will be centered on the latter.
