'Sword Coast Legends' release date latest news: Pre-orders get a head start
Good news for all those who have been itching to get hold of "Sword Coast Legends." The developers at Digital Extremes and n-Space are offering fans who have pre-ordered the game an early head start. The role-playing video game is still set to be released next month but gamers can get a chance to play it before anyone else through the Head Start Access program that is available for PC, Mac and Linux users.
As noted in Game Reactor, Dan Tudge, President of n-Space and Game Director, said:
"We at n-Space have always intended for our pre-order customers to have a chance to try out the game prior to its September 29th release. To that end, we are announcing the details of Sword Coast Legends' Head Start access program."
The head start program will take place in three separate sessions, according to WCCF Tech. The first session will start on Sept. 11 until Sept. 13 and will only be available to the members of the Design Council or those who have pre-ordered one of the Limited Edition or Campaign Collector's packs. Those who made regular pre-orders get to access the head start on the second weekend which is from Sept. 18 to Sept. 20. Players will be able to access only the Dungeon Master modes of Campaign Creation and Dungeon Crawl during the two sessions.
Lastly, the third session will run from Sept. 24 up to the release which is on Sept. 29. Those who have access to the first session will be able play the Story campaign. While the game is scheduled already on PC, release date for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions has yet to be announced.
"Sword Coast Legends" is available for pre-order from Steam and the PlayStation Store for $34.99. Digital Deluxe and Collector's Edition are also available for pre-order for $59.99 and $239.99, respectively.
