T-Mobile Android Lollipop Update for Galaxy Note 4: It's Finally Here!

Finally, Galaxy Note 4 users on the T-Mobile Network are getting the much-awaited Android Lollipop 5.0.1 update on their devices. This was reported in Tech Times, after official word from T-Mobile on April 24 said that they were ready to roll out the updates to its customers in the following week.

According to the report, T-Mobile is the last among the U.S. carriers to make the update available, especially for the Galaxy Note 4. Prior to this, many of the network's customers were largely dissatisfied with the pace at which the network was rolling out updates. As other major networks were already done with updates, even with older devices, T-Mobile was still in the "manufacturer development" phase of the much-awaited Android update.

T-Mobile's support forums were filled with complaints such as this: "Now they push the new S6 and boosting sales for the new phone. The Note 4 buyers are old news, with the Note 5 coming this year. They should test the updates on all potential devices at the same time and roll out the updates at the same time."

According to an earlier Tech Times report, one of the reasons why T-Mobile may have taken its time in rolling out the update is because of the various user complaints that other networks have received with regard to the Android update on the Galaxy Note 4. It was reported that Note 4 users encountered major issues when they received the update from their networks early on in the year.

Apparently, the Note 4 was one experiencing the most performance issues after it received the update. Among the common complaints were decreased battery life, forced closing of apps, overheating, and problem with Contacts, browser performance, GPS problems and slowdown, problems with moving files to the microSD card, among others.

The report likewise confirmed that the update has indeed been rolling out, with initial feedback from customers coming in.
