Tamar Braxton Reveals How Reality Show Helped Marriage

Tamar Braxton believes her WE tv reality television, "Tamar & Vince" may have saved her marriage.

Braxton, the 37-year-old three-time Grammy nominated singer-songwriter, married her music executive husband in 2008. She has let the world into her arguments with her husband Vincent Herbert on "Tamar & Vince" and "Braxton Family Values."

The singer recently appeared on "The Yolanda Adams Morning Show" where she revealed that letting the world into her marriage may have helped it.

"Had it not been for the show, 'Tamar & Vince,' I probably wouldn't be sitting here today," Braxton told Adams. "It was a lot of things going on in our relationship that we didn't realize until we watched it back."

Braxton insisted that her marital issues contributed to her album that debuted last year, "Love & War."

"Those songs would have never been written," she said. "It was therapeutic and some things had to be said. And sometimes when you're in a relationship, you don't know how to bring things up."

Last year, Braxton gave birth to her first child with her husband and recently revealed how the feat may have made the couple mature.

"We have to get along or else we couldn't get anything done. The level of respect for each other has increased and also, we've grown up because of it," Braxton recently told Upscale Magazine."The maturity of the relationship has matured. I know I've matured. Now he's a father, I'm a mother. We don't have time for that."

Last December, the singer took to Instagram on Christmas to showcase a diamond ring given to her by her husband. She captioned the image by letting the world know that she would fight for her marriage.

"I'll say yes!&yes!&YES Vincent Herbert a zillions years.....cause we will #STAY&FIGHT," Braxton wrote. "I'll LOVE you forever!!..man of my dreams!!! We're so true."
