Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Dallas Cowboys Live Stream, Preview
Both the Dallas Cowboys and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are unlikely to reach the playoffs as they see themselves at the bottom of the standings in their respective divisions. Although the NFL is technically halfway through the season, history tells that teams at the bottom at this very point of the season don't really make it that far the rest of the way.
Jerry Jones' Cowboys are clearly missing the services and leadership of quarterback Tony Romo, but it's no excuse to keep on losing while they wait for his return. In fact, they're currently facing the longest losing streak in franchise history since 1989, and at 2-6, they are close to ending their chances of moving further this season if they lose this one against Tampa Bay. And even if they eventually get Romo back, it may be too little too late; so the key for them to salvage their season is to win this matchup come Sunday.
Jones isn't pleased with his team's performance in the playoffs so far. "I didn't expect to lose six games with our roster. I didn't expect to lose Romo after his second game. A lot of people lose players, and a lot of people win games. We're just very disappointed for everybody concerned that we haven't won more games," the team owner said.
For Tampa Bay, the loss to the Giants last week was a stinging one, and with a 3-5 record good for fourth in their division, they can no longer afford to have alternating wins and losses. If there's one good thing going for them heading into Sunday's game, it should be because right tackle Demar Dotson is finally activated from the injured reserve after suffering a knee injury.
