Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Indianapolis Colts Preview, Schedule, Live Stream Details
Two teams with identical records head into a crucial Sunday football game in the hope of getting above .500, with the Indianapolis Colts taking on the much improved Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Whoever wins this matchup can go up to 6-5 and get that much-needed boost as the season nears its end.
The Bucs are obviously playing a lot better in its past couple of games, thanks to the emergence of rookie QB sensation Jameis Winston. The team is reinforced by the rejuvenated Doug Martin and the ever-reliable pair of Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans. Tampa Bay's defense though leaves much to be desired.
An interesting matchup pits quarterbacks Winston and the Colts' Matt Hasselbeck. At 40, Hasselbeck is the NFL's oldest quarterback, while Winston is youngest at 21. It should be intriguing to see which stands out – experience or youth. While Winston is looking to build momentum from a two-game winning streak, Hasselbeck for his part guided the Colts to four victories.
The rookie quarterback is making quite an impression in Tampa Bay lately. With a lot of football to play in the season, he only needs five more touchdown passes in order to set a team record of 20 for a rookie. Also, another amazing stat is that he hasn't committed a turnover in five games, and head coach Lovie Smith is all praises for this prized rookie. "He's playing good ball, making all the right decisions, no one works harder than him," the coach told the Associated Press via FOX Sports.
On the other hand, Hasselbeck is a major reason why the Colts are currently on top of AFC South, sharing the lead with Houston. He in fact was instrumental in the Colts' thrilling 24-21 win over Atlanta last week.
While the injured Andrew Luck could have been a strong presence and leader for Indianapolis, Hasselbeck's re-emergence gives his team little to worry about when Luck could return.
