With the series on the line, the Tampa Bay Lightning host the Detroit Red Wings at the Amalie Arena for Game 7 in the first round of the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs. The match is on April 29, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

However, Tyler Johnson reminded Detroit that they were not going down easily as he scored within the first four minutes of the game to give Tampa Bay the early lead. Jason Garrison then doubled the Lightning's lead with a snap shot inside the 12th minute to give the visitors a cushion.

Detroit were unable to make up ground and fell three goals down after Johnson hit another attempt in the 30th minute of the game and things seemed destined for a Game 7. Fortunately for the Red Wings, Tomas Tatar was one of the players who never gave up as his power play goal in the 33rd cut the deficit to two goals. And he would make it a one-goal game early in the third period with his wrister after an assist from Pavel Datsyuk.
Chasing a one-goal game, Detroit's defense was left wide open in the 55th minute and Alex Killorn took advantage with a solo backhander.
And to ensure a victory, Cedric Paquette found the back of the net in the last minute of the game to finish the 5-2 route and successfully force a series decider at home.
Naturally, Tampa Bay are favoured to win at home as they will have the backing of a ruckus crowd. However, Detroit still have a say in the game as they beat the Lightning in the first game of the series while playing as visitors.
