Taylor Swift Accepts Three Awards at iHeartRadio Music Awards, Thanks Boyfriend Calvin Harris

When it comes to getting awards, pop star Taylor Swift is no novice to it. The "Shake It Off" singer has won several awards already throughout her 10 years of musical career. And just recently, she once again took the stage during the iHeartMusic Awards on Sunday, April 3, winning a total of three awards. According to a report by ABC News, the 26-year old singer-songwriter won "Album of the Year" for her record "1989" and "Female Artist of the Year."

She also bagged the "Best Tour" award for her "1989 World Tour." But what really made the fans scream in amusement was Swift's acceptance speech, which was far from the usual. As stated in Telegraph, Swift first thanked her fans for selling out her "1989 World Tour" around the world. She then turned her attention to her present boyfriend, Scottish recording artist DJ Calvin Harris, by saying her gratitude to him.

"You know, for the first time, I had the most amazing person to come home to when the spotlight went out and when the crowds were all gone," Swift said slowly, looking a bit timid. "So, um, I want to thank my boyfriend Adam for that. And I love you guys so much," she concluded before walking off the stage.

For those who are not in the loop, Harris' birth name is Adam Wiles. And though it may seem natural to give a shoutout to people who are special in the lives of artists, Swift is different because as noted in Chicago Tribune, it's known in the Hollywood culture that it's a bit unusual for a celebrity on Swift's level of fame to call out a special person especially when it's just a boyfriend as opposed to a spouse. Swift's inclusion of her boyfriend in her acceptance speech is basically an implication and confirmation that their relationship is going serious.

Harris, who also won the "Dance Artist of the Year" award, was caught on the camera looking teary-eyed after Swift gave her short, sweet and sincere message.
