Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris Dating News Latest: Harris Slams Breakup Rumors
After a shocking rumor surfaced that Calvin Harris and Taylor Swift have called it quits, Harris is setting the record straight: There was no breakup and there's no "happy ending" for those who spread the rumor.
In a tweet on Monday, the hottie posted "It's not going to be a 'happy ending' for everyone I sue for defamation of character for all these bulls*!@ stories bye bye." Although Swift has not aired her side on the issue, she favorited the tweet, which left fans relieved after days of shock upon hearing the rumor.
The rumor first surfaced after Radar Online released images of Harris coming out of a Thai massage parlor in downtown Los Angeles. According to The Washington Post, the outlet has reportedly deleted the article, but on Monday, the same anonymously sourced outlet said the power couple have broken up for reasons related to the Thai massage parlor visit.
Fans then started to get crazy and other outlets reported on the rumor. Harris swiftly came to the rescue and slammed the reports. Tree Paine, Swift's publicist, also took to Twitter and said, "I've said it before and I'm saying it again, do not believe Radar Online."
Selena Gomez, Swift's bff, also seemed shocked when she heard about the rumor in an interview on Andy Cohen's SiriusXM radio show Monday morning. She believes she should have known about the breakup firsthand and said the speculation was "so stupid."
According to People, Harris saw this coming since he has said earlier that "it could be a lot worse and I'd still be insanely happy with her." He also noted that someone will always try to bring up something to talk about when couples don't go all sweet and cuddly in public for some time.
On Wednesday, Harris favorited a fan's post that displayed Swift's covers for GQ and NME. The tweet reads, "When @CalvinHarris is a lucky dude."
The speculation about the couple's breakup has not died down, but due to Harris and Paine's denials, some fans have been tamed down.
