Taylor Swift, Harry Styles Together at VMAs After-Party (PHOTO)

Taylor Swift and Harry Styles recently had an awkward run-in at an MTV VMAs after-party just hours after the country singer's infamous diss.

The exes, who split in January after 65 days of dating, both attended the private party held at the SoHo Grand Hotel Club Room in New York City on Sunday. Although Swift, 23, and Styles, 19, both appeared to be happy and relaxed while posing for a group photo alongside party promoter, DJ Spiky Phil, and mutual friend, Ed Sheeran, sources claim the tension was undeniable and "super awkward," according to Us Weekly magazine.

"Ed [Sheeran] made sure to keep them separate," a source told Us with another adding that the English singer is often forced to play "Switzerland" when it comes to Swift and Styles.

Prior to posing near one another in the group photo, Swift and Styles were at the center of controversy after the "I Knew You Were Trouble" appeared to diss the One Direction band member at least twice during the VMAs.

The pop star, who is renowned for penning heartbreak-inspired songs after various failed relationships, won the "Best Female Video" VMA for her hit song "I Knew You Were Trouble." Her acceptance speech left fans speculating whether the song was written about Styles.

"I also wanna thank the person who inspired ['I Knew You Were Trouble'], who knows exactly who he is, because now I got one of these!" Swift told the roaring crowd.

In addition to Swift's acceptance speech diss, the singer was caught on camera allegedly uttering offensive words about the English-Irish boy band to Selena Gomez. 1D took to the stage at the start of the night to present the award for Best Pop Video and Swift appeared to look away in disgust before saying "Shut the f--- up," according to Daily Mail.

Sources claim that while 1D fans were left furious over Swift's behavior, the band laughed off the alleged diss.

"All of the One Direction members have seen the video of Taylor [allegedly] talking negative about them and they laughed about it the entire time and thought that she should worry about important things besides talking s--- about them," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

"They think it's sad that they affect her attitude so much and she should grow up!" the source added.
