Taylor Swift New Album 2014: Worldwide Live Stream Confirmed on Twitter (Contest Details)
After several clues which Taylor Swift posted on social network all throughout the week — the singer was seen in a picture of the singer pressing the number 18 in an elevator; a second screenshot of a kitten at exactly 5 p.m. was shown; then a watercolor of the New York City skyline; finally, a snapshot of the Yahoo! website — the singer has finally confirmed on Monday via Twitter that she will be hosting a Yahoo! live stream event on Aug. 18.
Though the content and details of the live stream have yet to be revealed, a few lucky fans will have the chance to join Swift at the event through a contest that the singer is hosting on her official website.
According to the contest's official rules, 89 lucky Swifties will have the chance to travel to New York to attend the Yahoo session. Swift is expected to make an official announcement about her fifth studio album at the live stream event, and most likely debut a brand new single, according to MusicTimes.
The rules say that fans should be over 18 years of age and must be able to travel to New York City at their own expense.
To enter the contest, one is required to fill out basic questionnaire answers at TaylorSwift.com and write a 500-word or more essay that responds to this question: "Tell us why you are an enthusiastic Taylor fan, and what you do to tell others about Taylor and her music, including how often and where!"
Contest winners will be chosen on Aug. 14., with the Yahoo live stream to take place on Monday, Aug. 18 at 5 p.m. ET.
