Taylor Swift Performs at Grammys: Gets Hit in Head by Ryan Seacrest (VIDEO)
Taylor Swift opened the stage for the 2013 Grammy Awards singing "We Are Never Getting Back Togeter."
Dressed in an all white suit and dress coat, paired with a top hat and white boots- the Grammy nominated singer opened the stage with a "Alice in Wonderland" like theme.
"So he calls me and goes, 'I still love you...' And I'm like, 'I'm sorry, I'm busy opening the Grammys,'" she sang, tweaking her lyrics for her Sunday opening performance.
Before singing on stage, the singer walked the red carpet in a white gown decorated with diamonds. She wore a J Mendel dress with Jimmy Choo shoes, Lorraine Schwartz earrings, an Ofira ring, and a bracelet by Jaimin with Lorraine Schwartz. The singer tied her hair back in a braid and bun although she wore it down for her on stage performance.
"Oh my god, it's Grammy week, it's so hectic," she said to Red Carpet host Ryan Seacrest. "I have a lot to plan for with the opening performance and I'm just really hoping all the pieces come together this week. Because this is when it really gets really crazy, but it's all very exciting too."
Swift admitted that she had painted her own nails for the special day. When prompted by Seacrest to show them off in the "mani-cam" the singer quickly became embarrassed and Seacrest accidentally hit her on the forehead with the mike.
Before the festivities even began at 8 pm, it was announced the Swift had won her first Grammy of the night for "Safe and Sound" which appeared on the "Hunger Games" soundtrack.
