'Ted 2' News: Morgan Freeman Joins Star-Studded Cast, Film Promises to Be 'Crazier Than Ever'
Ted, the plush, foul-mouthed, hard living, partying teddy bear is back for more craziness in the sequel, "Ted 2."
It was reported that Seth MacFarlane is bringing the potty-mouth teddy bear back to life, and this will be a continuation of the story of John Bennett, played by Mark Wahlberg, and his adventures with his best friend since childhood, Ted.
According to Bostinno, filming has begun in Wahlberg's hometown of Boston. And although the film's plot is tightly under wraps, the actor shared some spoilers and said that Ted will be getting married in "Ted 2." The stuffed bear will reportedly marry Tammy Lynn, and the union will be all sweet and lovey-dovey for a week before it turns ugly.
John will also have a new love interest in the film, and she will be played by Amanda Seyfried.
Recently, a new cast member has been announced for "Ted 2." It has been confirmed that Morgan Freeman will be joining the film's cast. According to Variety, Freeman will be playing "an iconic civil rights lawyer who comes into the picture when Ted needs to resolve some legal issues."
It has also been announced that a lot of iconic characters and famous actors will be making cameos in the film. The Daily Mail has reported that one of those cameos will be of 1980s icon Sam J. Jones, who played Flash Gordon.
Wahlberg was spotted filming a scene which was a nod to Jones' famous character, in which he sits astride a Flash Gordon motorbike. The website also showed pictures of Jones dressed as a priest.
Wahlberg also revealed that the film was going to stick to the original film's premise, in which John and Ted refuse to grow up.
"That wouldn't be any fun. No, no, no, they're crazier than ever," he said.
"Ted 2" will premiere on June 26, 2015.
