'Teen Mom 2' News: Leah Messer to Lose Custody of Twins
"Teen Mom 2" star Leah Messer is about to lose custody of her twin children, Ali and Aleeah, to her ex-husband Corey Simms.
Because of the current court trouble that "Teen Mom 2" star Leah Messer is facing, her other ex-boyfriend Jeremy Calvert is now worried about the future of their daughter Addie. He is now trying hard to land a stable job in West Virginia so he can file for full custody of his two-year-old daughter with Messer, according to Classicalite.
Dr. Drew Pinksy has voiced concern over the effect of the court troubles on Messer's long-term recovery. Simms may have failed in his attempts to gain full custody of the five-year-old twins, but Messer's situation may also put their living conditions in jeopardy, the report details.
During the last court appearance, Messer was able to pass the drug test, but the judge was worried that she may not be able to be a good parent to the twins. A source told In Touch that the judge saw that the girls have been constantly late for school, so Messer ended up seeing the twins only on weekends.
The recent events have made Calvert worried about Addie's future, and now he is thinking about getting his daughter out of Messer's custody. Another source by In Touch said a cop once brought Addie home after finding the child wandering around the neighborhood while her mother was distracted.
Meanwhile, Simms had deleted his Twitter profile amid the ongoing custody battle. While he rarely brought the "Teen Mom 2" issues on his public profile, he once mentioned Messer when she was accused of being addicted to prescription pain drugs, the International Business Times reports.
In his Twitter post, Simms said his top priorities are still his wife Miranda and his twin daughters. He issued the statement a day after "Teen Mom 2" showed Messer checking in for treatment in August. He then thanked all the people who understood their situation.
