'Teen Mom 2' Star Leah Messer Defends Marriage, Says She is Not Getting Divorced

"Teen Mom 2" star Leah Messer has publicly refuted comments suggesting that she and husband Jeremy Calvert are getting a divorce. Even though there has been a lot of speculation about the status of the couple's relationship due to the airing of several "Teen Mom 2" episodes this season, Messer is insistent that her relationship with Calvert is fine and no different than any other marriage.

"Jeremy Calvert and I are married and living in the same home," Messer posted to her Facebook page. "We are NOT divorced. Sorry some disagree with how things have been portrayed on the show to make you feel so ill toward me. Life is a learning process for EVERYONE in life and NOBODY is perfect and we all have our different struggles in relationships."

The couple has been bickering over Calvert's decision to work on a pipeline, which often takes him out of town. In the most recent episode of "Teen Mom 2," he announced his decision to go to New Mexico for a five-week job and turned down a local job without even telling Messer. She was furious and hurt when she found out that he had turned down the opportunity to work closer to home and explained that she felt like Calvert's priority was money, not family.

"I don't feel like I have a marriage," Messer said. "I feel like I'm doing it all on my own. You think of everything as money, money, money, money. You need to realize that we're more important than money."

By the end of the episode, Messer seemed to accept that Calvert was only doing what he thought was best for the family. He is helping raise Messer's twins from another marriage and the couple has their own daughter, who just turned one. Messer is a stay-at-home mother whose focus is on keeping her family together and working to help one of her daughters, who has a debilitating illness.

"Teen Mom 2" airs Tuesday nights on MTV.
