'Teen Mom' Maci Bookout Suffering From 'Mystery' Illness

"Teen Mom" star Maci Bookout recently revealed that she is suffering from an undiagnosed illness and receiving treatment to help with the symptoms. The young mom was quite popular on the MTV series and is the subject of a new series premiering Sunday.

"I really need to not be sick anymore… back to the doctor tomorrow!" Bookout tweeted on Tuesday. "I should be on #mysterydiagnosis."

The following day she added, "This illness I'm dealing with is probably the most painful experience I've ever had physically and now my ass hurts from the shot too."

While Bookout has yet to reveal what is ailing her, and doctors may not know yet, she is relying on family and friends to help her through the struggle. She has one son, Bentley, who started pre-Kindergarten this year and will obviously need some assistance taking care of him.

"Thank God for my momma... she takes such good care of a sick Maci!" Bookout tweeted yesterday. "In three days all I've been able to eat is two cups of soup and some ice cream. Shooooot me."

Fortunately, Bookout's mother and boyfriend of six months Taylor McKinney are doing all they can to lift her spirits.

"I can't stop thinking about how much my boyfriend did so that I would have the best birthday weekend possible. Thank u Taylor," Bookout tweeted.

She and McKinney are dating long-distance since he lives in Dallas, Texas and she and Bentley live in Chattanooga, Tenn. Bookout is fairly private and has not said how the two were introduced, but the two are apparently fairly happy together and McKinney is supportive of his girlfriend.

"That helpless feeling…..it sucks," McKinney tweeted, most likely in reference to Bookout's illness.

Bookout's popularity soared after appearing on "16 & Pregnant" and later "Teen Mom." She currently tours the country speaking about her experiences as a young mother and is working to earn a degree in journalism. Her new special, "Being Maci" premieres Sunday night on MTV.
