'Teen Wolf' Season 6 Spoilers and Release Date: Will Dylan O'Brien Return?
"Teen Wolf" Season 6 has delayed production due to actor Dylan O'Brien's injury while filming "Maze Runner: The Death Cure." He has been away since March when the incident happened.
However, the sixth season of the series will push though it might take time for the premiere because of O'Brien's injury. In the meantime, creator Jeff Davis stated in a report that after Season 6, there will be no more seasons coming up. He also added that the decision of ending the series after the sixth season is because of his agreement with MTV.
Davis stated that they agreed with the network to have 100 episodes in total and Season 6 will have 20 episodes. Although the agreement has been laid out, there are speculations that the series might be terminated due to O'Brien's condition.
What To Expect
"Teen Wolf" Season 6 will be a story more focused on Stiles Stilinsky (Dylan O'Brien) and the trailer reveals that he will be having challenges this season and that his friends will forget him. Also, he will be fighting with the Nazi werewolf.
Furthermore, Jeff Davis and MTV have been adamant about O'Brien's condition since it will be a whole lot of different story without him playing the role of Stiles Stilinsky.
In fact, Davis stated that a lot of the show's mysteries evolve around Stilinsky and in the sixth season a lot will be seen on how Stilinsky's friendship is important to Scott, Lydia (Holland Roden) and Malia (Shelley Hennig). The sixth season will also show how Stilinsky is Scott's bestfriend and how meaningful it is to be Malia's human anchor. It will also show how his relationship with Lydia goes.
McCall on Being Single
Teen Wolf Season 6 also includes Tyler Posey who plays the role of Scott McCall. It has been reported that in the sixth season of the series, Posey's character will remain single. Posey noted about the character that being single has been good for him since he is able to focus on what he needs to do without anyone getting in the way.
He further suggests that the character does not need a woman in his life in order for him to be a compelling character. Posey also added that his character, which is set to come back in the sixth season, will be a little darker and wiser.
"Teen Wolf" Season 6 has been delayed at this time and O'Brien is still recovering from his injuries. In a report, Jennifer Allen, the actor's publicist, mentioned that he had several serious injuries and will really need time to recover. O'Brien on the other hand, is trying so hard to push through with his work.
As of this time, there has been no official announcement of a specific date for the sixth season of "Teen Wolf."
