To recall, previous reports about Season 6 were about the coming of new villains called the Ghost Riders. These villains are unlike what the pack encountered before, since they had unique and very powerful capabilities.
The Ghost Riders were known to have the ability to wipe the existence of people around them. They also had the power to wipe out the memory of a person.
Davis said that Stiles will fall victim to the Ghost Riders and he will start to forget his identity in the episode. Lydia will run towards her beloved, while other people are beginning to forget who Stiles is. For some reason, while the Ghost Riders' powers are strong, Lydia is still able to resist them. She will be the last one to forget the existence of Stiles.
Lydia the key to unlocking Stiles' memories
It will soon be bared that Lydia will be the key to unlocking Stiles' memories. Davis said that she will play a very significant role in the return of his memories and there is a deeper reason why Lydia is the last one to forget Stiles.
Davis also said in a separate interview that they initially had another plot for Stiles' fate. However, Dylan O'Brien, who plays Stiles, was unavailable to film for "Teen Wolf". O'Brien had other commitments and they had to adjust the plot to make room for his absence. This change allowed the actor to shoot for a movie and to appear in the next season of "Teen Wolf" at the same time.
