There May or May Not Be a Swimsuit Costume DLC for the Female "Tekken" Fighters in the Western Release

Game director Katsuhiro Harada jokingly exchanged a tweet with a fan saying "Tekken 7" may not have swimsuit costumes because of US social justice warriors (SJWs).

Harada's original tweet that was deleted said, "Ask your country's SJWs. HAHAHAHAHA." The game director came under fire and apologized for it when fans and netizens admonished him for the insensitive tweet.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, the swimsuit DLC for "Tekken 7" may not be immediately released as soon as the game launches. However, an optional DLC for it may be coming soon. Harada tweeted, "Maybe Optional DLC or something? what do you think?"

PS4, Xbox One Game Details for "Tekken 7"

Harada's Twitter has been a gold mine of information regarding the new "Tekken 7" game. He confirmed that the PS4 version will run at 1080p/60fps. It is not known if the same gameplay resolution will apply for the Xbox One console.

"Tekken 7" Game Mechanics, Story Mode

In an interview with Gamereactor, Harada, together with game designer Michael Murray, released some interesting information about "Tekken 7" and how it is different among its predecessors. In the past "Tekken" games, players will go through Story Mode with full health each time they face a new opponent, and it strictly becomes any other fighting game.

In the new Story Mode of the game, instead of starting with each opponent in full health, "Tekken 7" characters will retain their health based from the results of the previous battle. It is only when players start Story Mode for the first time that their characters are in full health and if they progress through the battle without taking any damage.

Different health levels may mean different kinds of interactions with other characters. The developers have taken "Tekken 7" to a "more seamless" approach in terms of continuity in the game. Harada added that players will have a chance to know why the characters are fighting and further finish some background stories on some of them.

The game will be availabe on consoles and PC in 2017.
