Terrence Howard Calls Himself 'Satan' and 'Antichrist' During Fight With Ex-Wife, Court Documents Show
Actor Terrence Howard had a meltdown during a fight with his girlfriend, court documents show. The actor, who currently stars in "The Butler," referred to himself as Satan and the Antichrist.
Howard was trying to reconcile with girlfriend Michelle Ghent last April when the meeting turned ugly. She allegedly confronted him about several phone numbers she found; he denied knowing who the numbers belonged to but then grew angry when Ghent dialed one of the numbers. She told the court that Howard threw her computer out of a window and slammed her to the ground.
"He grabbed an X-Acto blade and put it to his wrist as if to cut himself," the court documents obtained by New York Daily News stated. "He then reached for the 'belt on his robe and displayed attempts to hang himself.''
"If this is goodbye, then I hate everything and will now use my gifts to destroy mankind," a later text from Howard read. "I will become Satan Himself! You were my last chance to love. I will now Hate in all things and seek my vengeance upon Humanity for all the wrongs ever done to me!! You just killed the last grain of light within me. Now the darkness has begun! I had all things because of you! The Antichrist is Here!"
The court documents became public after Ghent filed for a restraining order against Howard. She alleges that he beat her during a trip to Costa Rica; she was granted a temporary order and a hearing on extending that order of protection will occur on Sept. 25.
Howard has reportedly said that Ghent filed the paperwork so that it would become public at the same time of "Lee Daniel's The Butler" premiere. The film is a dynamite success, but Howard claims that Ghent is out to "ruin" his career and reputation. However, Howard has been accused six different times of violence against women.
