Tesla Model S Electric Sedan Gets Much-Needed Updates Amidst Mass-Market Sibling Unveiling
After the success of the mass-market unveiling of its Model 3 sedan, Tesla now gets ready to push its high-end Model S. This premium model has been restyled exteriorly and updated on the interior. But these improvements also come with a higher price tag, which will be formally announced soon.
The nose design on the exterior has been wrought to resemble more the Model X and Model 3 looks, along with the installation of LED headlights. This could be taken to mean a more angular rather than rounded look. The choices for exterior color of the electric sedan have been expanded.
On the interior, the Model S will now sport front seats with ventilation options such as those found on the Model X SUV while storage room has been expanded inside with pockets on the in-side of the doors.
While there may be some changes in the look and feel of the Tesla Model S electric sedan, people who will own it will get to realize a car running on battery power can be a breeze to drive as well as being much kinder to the environment.
In a short matter of time, the Model S will take center stage with its fresh new look, which was spotted potentially at the Tesla Fremont factory.
While the changes on the design of the luxury electric sedan have not been confirmed by Elon Musk of Tesla, a price hike has been confirmed. This is understandable in the light of the refinements made on the model.
A spokesperson for the car manufacturer has commented, "… Tesla is constantly innovating and adding new features to our vehicles to perpetually improve Tesla vehicles for our existing and future customers. We price our vehicles consistently throughout the world which requires us to adjust pricing to foreign currency exchange rates. We have let customers know that some price changes will take effect in early April ..."
Presently, the biggest competition there is for the Model S is Tesla's own Model 3, and some high-end models from Audi and Mercedes Benz, although cars from the last two may not necessarily be battery-powered ones.
