'The 100' season 3 premiere will be a major tearjerker for Bellamy Blake fans

"The 100" is not due to hit the screens until January next year, but the show's executive producer has already revealed that the premiere will be a major tearjerker for Bellamy Blake's fans.

The CW's post-apocalyptic drama series will return for season 3 in January 2016 and the scenes will surely tug at the viewer's hearts. On Friday, The 100 executive producer Jason Rothenberg revealed in a Twitter post that filming one of Bellamy Blake's scenes made him cry, according to Yahoo! News.

"(NOT-SO) DAILY DAILIES: It's rare that dailies make me cry," Enstarz quotes Rothenberg's tweet on Friday morning. "Thanks to [Bob Morley] today was one of those days. #The100."

Despite the impending flood of tears in The 100 season 3, Rothenberg said the viewers will definitely love Bellamy and even the whole story for whatever it is that is set to happen.

Bob Morley, who plays Bellamy's character in The 100, jokingly replied to Rothenberg's post by saying that it must have been his bad acting that made the executive producer tear up, the report adds.

The 100 supervising producer Aaron Ginsburg earlier hinted at a major dramatic turn in the show's third installment. He teased that a major character will die and even revealed how much blood was scattered all over their set at the time.

Bellamy may soon mourn over the death of a loved one or a close friend, but the identity of that character still remains under wraps. In the previous season, the Sky People touched down on Earth only to be beset by death and difficult decisions. Bellamy and Clarke (Eliza Taylor) had to use radiation to kill the Mountain Men. When the incident ended in the death of Maya (Eve Harlow), Clarke decided to leave Camp Jaha, the report narrates.

Another revelation by Rothenberg showed Clarke sporting a new look that includes a face paint pattern similar to the Grounders, who proved to be traitors to the Sky People in the last season. But the new look may hint that Clarke may embark on a major about-turn and join the Grounders.

The 100 season 3 is set to premiere in January 2016 on The CW.
