'The 100' Season 3 Spoilers, Plot Rumors: New Photos Reveal Clarke's New Hair
With just a few weeks left before Season 3 of the post-apocalyptic drama series "The 100" premieres, The CW has released new images from the upcoming season of its popular show. The new promo photos show Clarke (Eliza Taylor) with tousled, bright red locks and a new Grounder outfit. The last time "The 100" fans saw Clarke, she was preparing to leave the Sky People and setting off on her own after the events on Mount Weather.
As "The 100" showrunner Jason Rothenberg revealed at last year's Comic-Con, "What she did at the end of the season was so huge and traumatic." He added: "She's running away, which is very un-Clarke-like."
Giving a glimpse into things to come, Rothenberg said, "When we pick things up, I think she's going to be losing it a little … She's not dealing with it particularly well."
Previously-released teasers for Season 3 reveal that Clarke will be on the run. In a promo clip released in December, Indra (Adina Porter) says that the teen is "being hunted by everyone." Meanwhile, TV Guide reports that Clarke will have a new love interest in the forthcoming season. After hiding for months, Clarke will reportedly find solace in the company of a trading post worker.
As for the other characters, the new photos also show them in stills from Season 3. Niylah (Jessica Harmon) and Rowan (Zach McGowan) are seen in a room lit by candles, and Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) and Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) are shown in a tender moment. The images also include Jasper (Devon Bostick) with a bandaged neck wound and Murphy (Richard Harmon) with a new hairstyle.
The official plot description for the third season says: "Their lives will be changed forever, as threats both old and new test their loyalties, push them past their limits, and make them question what it truly means to be human. First, they fought to survive. Then, they fought for their friends. Now, they will fight for the human race."
"The 100" premieres its third season with "Wanheda - Part One" on Thursday, Jan. 21, at 9 p.m. on The CW.
