'The 100' season 3 will introduce new characters

As much as "The 100" teens had proven that they don't really need adult help to survive the war, another adult is just about to join the cast.

Michael Beach, popularly known as T.O. Cross in "Sons of Anarchy," will become a recurring guest of this hit CW show. According to Entertainment Weekly, Beach's character, Pike, is described as "tough and charismatic," and someone with a "staunch moral code."

Ricky Whittle, who plays Lincoln in the show, said that Pike will be a bit of an antagonist, and will upset a lot of people. "He's bringing incredible power to a character that is going to tear the screen up," Whittle said during The 100 panel at the last DragonCon. "Hopefully, in a good way, he's going to upset a lot of you. He's not there to play nice, so look forward to his character," the actor finally said.

He added that Beach has been a "great addition" to the cast, whom he has a great pleasure to work with, and someone he considers an "incredible man."

The 100 will also add other new characters to the show like Titus, a Grounder. The Grounder will be played by Neil Sandilands, known for his role in "The Americans." According to Deadline, Titus will be there to protect and preserve his Grounder civilization against threats. Another character that will be added this season is Roan, who will be played by actor Zach McGowan. No further description was released yet for this character.

"Desperate Housewives" and "Dallas" actress Brenda Strong will also become part of this post-apocalyptic drama. She will play the role of the Ice nation's Queen Nia, who is said to be a savvy but ruthless leader and out to protect her reign no matter what it takes.

The new season of The 100 will be back midseason next year.
