'The 100' Season 4: Earth is Uninhabitable in 6 Months; Clarke to Save as Many People as Possible
Clarke's victory last season came with knowing that the survivors have only 6 months to live on Earth.
In "The 100" Season 4, fans will get to see how the survivors live with the fallout of last season's events and at the same time have to deal with a new threat of a nuclear meltdown. Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and the rest of the Sky people have really grown and matured so much since first landing on earth in the beginning of the series.
Fallout from last season
Not a few of "The 100" fans' emotions were put through the wringer last season. The polarizing Season 3 saw Clarke and Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) reunited, Lincoln (Ricky Whittle) getting executed, Bellamy (Bob Morley) got beaten down by Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos), and Raven's (Lindsey Morgan) escape from A.L.I.E. But, the most shocking event of "The 100" Season 3 has to be the Grounder Commander's death in order to save Clarke from suffering the same fate.
Although Clarke defeated A.L.I.E. in the end, the victory came with the revelation that some of the abandoned nuclear power plants are still releasing radiation which will cause the Earth to be uninhabitable in six months.
Only a few months to live
The "The 100" Season 4 plot is being kept under wraps, but news that the survivors have to deal with the nuclear fallout got fans of the series into thinking that the end of the Sky People, the Ice Nation, and the Grounders is near.
Showrunner Jason Rothenberg has hinted in an interview that the Earth people have only a few months left to live. As a result, they would either accept their fate quietly and realize they have had enough of fighting and wars or choose to live life to the fullest as their end is coming.
More light-hearted moments in "The 100"
Meanwhile, two actors, Christopher Larkin and Devon Bostick, who play Monty and Jasper respectively, say that they are down for some lighthearted moments in "The 100" Season 4.
In last season's finale, Monty and Jasper were seen having a moment of hope for the first time after a long while. Larkin says it would be nice for the show to have some levity and he thinks that the two characters are good vessels for precisely that.
Bellamy tries to fix things
Spoilers for "The 100" Season 4 say that Clarke would undoubtedly try to find ways to save as many Earth people as possible, if not all. Bellamy, on the other hand, will look to redeem himself to the survivors after aligning with Pike (Michael Beach) in the previous season. He has his work cut out for him however in reaching out and fixing his relationship with his sister, Octavia.
Morley has expressed his hopes that the two characters will become brother and sister again in the upcoming season of "The 100". He further wishes for them to be able to talk with each other as equals or as adults.
There is no official word on "The 100" Season 4 premiere but it is expected to air early 2017.
