'The 100' Season 4 Release Date, Cast and Spoilers – New Threats, New Characters and What Does 'Charactiony' Really Mean?
CW Series Writers Tease Fans on Instagram with Baffling Handwritten Posts to Reveal Spoilers
CW's "The 100" returns next year with a new season but fans just can't wait and are speculating about what would really happen in Season 4. To tease followers, The 100 writers went to social media and revealed a few, though confusing, spoilers. Will there be new characters, new threats or new things to watch out for?
Taking pointers from the previous season
In the previous season, Clarke Griffin played by Eliza Taylor was able to save the day. She went to the City of Light and thanks to Lexa, was able to survive the ordeal. Alie, played by Erica Cerra, was defeated but the heroine was warned. She was informed by an artificial intelligence entity that the world would end in a matter of six months because of a nuclear threat. Fans took to social media, debating if the AI was lying to Clarke but some, said that the AI was actually messing around and at the same time foretelling future events.
Instagram posts
The 100 writers love teasing fans on Instagram and this was one of the best ways fans speculated about the theme for Season 4. A few days ago, writers hinted on "Day 20" with a handwritten sign that said "You need charactiony." For most fans, this meant that the writers are revealing that there might be new characters for next season while some guessed that writers may be working on character development as well.
While charactiony is not actually a real word, it may be something to do with seeing characters in a new light. To remember, almost all characters went through a rough time in Season 3 which could mean that these events will still continue to affect them in the upcoming season.
'Who's the boss?'
Fans were again thrilled that a new update was posted on Instagram on "Day 20". Writers again posted a handwritten sign this time saying "Who's the boss?" Any "The 100" fan would already know the answer: Clarke Griffin. But will this still be in Season 4?
A new boss could be anyone of the main cast. It could be Bellamy played by Bob Morley or Raven played by Lindsey Morgan. A new Grounder Clan Commander may also be revealed with the return of Lexa.
Speculations from the cast
Bob Morley revealed in an interview that he would like to see Bellamy and Octavia make amends. But with what his character did to Octavia, would making amends still be possible?
The 100 release date
The CW has scheduled The 100 Season 4 early 2017. Fans were somewhat disappointed since they thought that the series would be back in fall of 2016.
