'The Affair' Season 4 Spoilers: Alison Will Not Take No for an Answer From Cole
Alison (Ruth Wilson) will take back what is originally hers in the upcoming season of "The Affair."
The new installment of the Showtime series will reveal the fate of Alison and her ex-husband, Cole (Joshua Jackson). Before the last season ended, he wanted to end their affair because he felt bad for Luisa (Catalina Sandino Moreno). His wife still has no idea that he has been sleeping with Alison. Luisa has always been suspicious about the other woman's motives. She believes that Alison is out to get her husband, and spoilers predict that there will be a confrontation once she learns the truth. With Alison determined to get Cole back, viewers can expect an intense catfight between them.
Although Cole is happy with his marriage to Luisa, Alison's arrival marred everything for them. He had no choice but to let her into his house because of Joanie (Reagan and Savannah Grella) as well. Cole and Luisa frequently fought about the situation, but he maintained that Alison deserved to see her own child. There was no other way, since the court would not agree to a joint custody because of Alison's record. As Cole continued to see Alison, old feelings resurfaced. Soon, they were seeing each other secretly. Alison told Cole that they were meant to be together and that she made a terrible mistake when she left him for Noah (Dominic West).
Season 4 is expected to see Alison fight tooth and nail for Cole. It will finally be determined who will have a happy ending and who will not.
Co-creator and executive producer Sarah Treem previously told Variety that season 4 would be the last for the series. She said that it would truly be the end of a long journey for them. Will Cole choose Alison or Luisa?
"I see a fourth season that will bring all the characters back together in a way that would feel really satisfying and surprising and end a journey," Treem said.
"The Affair" season 4 is rumored to return late 2017.
