Bachelor 2015 News: Chris Soules the New Bachelor? Soules Spotted With Politicians in Iowa
ABC has not yet confirmed who "The Bachelor" is for the show's next season, which is slated to premiere next year. Several names are rumored to be in the running for the job, including Cody Sattler, who was seen in Andi Dorfman's season of "The Bachelorette," Nick Viall, who was the runner-up in Dorfman's season, and Arie Luyendyk from Emily Maynard's season. But the strongest contender so far—and the name that has come up consistently over the past few weeks—is Chris Soules, also known as farmer Chris. Soules was the third runner up on Dorfman's season.
Pending ABC's official statement, for now, everyone seems to be going by Reality Steve's report that Soules has allegedly inked a deal with the network and has already started doing filming.
The Inquisitor reports that "The Bachelor" is in the very early stages of filming, and Soules has already started making waves on the internet. And according to Time Magazine, Soules has been seen in the company of Republican politicians. The publication reports that he met with Texas governor Rick Perry at the Iowa State Fair on Aug. 12.

Gov. Perry took to social media on Aug. 13 to share his encounter with Soules. The governor posted a picture on his Twitter account of the two of them talking.
"Enjoyed meeting Chris from the bachelor at the Iowa State Fair today," Perry wrote.
Perry was not the only politician that Soules has met with.
"Earlier this month, Sens. Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio met the reality television star at the annual party hosted by Iowa GOP bigwig Bruce Rastetter," Time magazine reported.
The magazine also revealed that although Soules' political affiliation is not publicly known, attendees at the event volunteered that he was a Republican.
The new season of "The Bachelor" will premiere in 2015.
