'The Bachelor' 2017 Spoilers, Air Date & Update: Is ABC Casting Nick Viall's Old Flames Jen Saviano & Andi Dorfman as Season 21 Contestants?
Nick Viall generated a lot of media attention after ABC made a controversial decision to cast him as "The Bachelor" 2017. As the production of the reality television dating game show starts rolling, rumors circulated that the network tapped Viall's old flames as Season 21 contestants to rake ratings.
The Past Will Haunt Viall
Viall, 35, is a perennial contestant in the franchise of televised love after he ended up as two-time runner-up in "The Bachelorette" season of Andi Dorfman in 2014 and of Kaitlyn Bristowe in 2015. The former Chicago salesman also spent the summer on "Bachelor in Paradise" Season 3, wooing his co-stars Jen Saviano and Amanda Stanton.
In an interview with People, Chris Harrison, longtime host of "The Bachelor," did not dismiss the possibility that someone from Viall's past would appear in the upcoming season as one of the contestants. He said the producers of the show will still decide on the matter but it is definitely possible that one of Viall's former flames will show up.
As of press time, Saviano and Dorfman would qualify as Season 21 contestants as they appear to be single. Staton and Bristowe are currently engaged to Josh Murray and Shawn Booth, respectively.
Will Saviano & Dorfman Appear in the Upcoming Season?
The identities of Season 21 contestants are still unknown at this point. Both Saviano and Dorfman did not give any hint that they will make an appearance in the upcoming season.
Saviano already made it clear on Twitter that she has no plans of competing for Viall's heart. It can be recalled that Viall refused to propose to Saviano during the recent finale of "Bachelor in Paradise."
On the other hand, Dorfman congratulated Viall for landing the stint as Season 21's leading man. She said Viall has been always genuine and real about wanting to find true love. Just like Saviano, she did not show any interest of joining the forthcoming season.
Spoilers & Rumored Season 21 Contestants
Reality Steve, a popular spoiler writer for the franchise, stated that the upcoming contestants would not be different from the previous seasons. He said the poll of contestants who will vie for Viall's heart will include an overly emotional girl, a female drunkard, an insecure woman and a frontrunner.
Reality Steve also teased that one contestant will act nicely when Viall is around and act differently when in front of the other girls. He also hinted that another contestant will appear as the season's villain.
Viall's season of "The Bachelor" will premiere on ABC early next year.
