'The Bachelor' News, Cast, Spoilers: Drama Awaits in the New Season

Despite claims that Ben Higgins will not be interesting enough to headline the long-running dating show, "The Bachelor" host says otherwise as more drama can be expected in the next season.

In an interview with US Weekly, host Chris Harrison praised "The Bachelorette" alum Ben Higgins, saying, "Ben is going to be a phenomenal Bachelor." However, with great charm comes great drama as Harisson teased, "At the same time, when you have somebody who is a great catch, there will be drama. I can't wait for everybody to see this season." With that, fans — especially the girls — should expect a lot of drama and excitement as this prince charming journeys through "The Bachelor."

According to the Inquisitr, Reality Steve released a series of spoilers revealing a strong contender in Laura Bushnell, the Inquisitr reports. It is said that the blonde flight attendant may be ahead of the game as Busnell and Higgins made a great connection from the start. Another girl making buzz is Caila, who has been closely described as a Disney Princess.

Other news reveal that a number of professional athletes will be featured in the show, a hot air balloon date, and a two-on-one date. It is also said that before one of the rose ceremonies, at least four people will either leave the show willingly or be sent home. Although no specific details have been revealed yet, it was previously announced by Reality Steve that spoilers will be released soon.

Higgins made his name when he went head-to-head with Shawn Booth and Nick Viall for Kaitlyn Bristowe's heart in "The Bachelorette." He has been known to be the sweet, boy next door that every girl dreams of, and Harisson confirms this as he says, "I think everybody is really going to fall in love with this guy. He's just a very sweet, sincere guy."
