'The Bachelor' Sean Lowe Recap: Wedding Dress Girl Gets A Rose (VIDEO)
ABC's "The Bachelor" returned Monday night with new 'Bachelor" Sean Lowe, and season 17 looks set to be a ratings winner for the TV network.
24 contestants arrived for the meet and greet with Lowe, a 28-year-old Christian model, with the vast majority securing a spot in the next round during the season's first rose ceremony. Among the women vying for Lowe's heart were some solid prospects, however viewers could not help but direct focus on the more bizarre choices such as Lindsay Yenter, a 24-year-old substitute teacher.
While traditionally contestants wear formal dresses to the rose ceremony, Yenter took it a few steps further, arriving in a white wedding dress complete with a matching veil and ear-to-ear grin.

"Did I miss the memo? Is this my wedding day?" a baffled Lowe asked Yenter.
Just when viewers thought that the situation could not get any more awkward, Yenter bizarrely appeared to pretend that they were in fact in tying the knot.
"You may now kiss the bride," an eager Yenter replied before quickly planting a kiss on Lowe's lips.
Lowe politely laughed off the shocking incident, but even more surprising was the Texas native's decision to keep her on for the next round.
Viewers flocked to social networking site Twitter where "Bachelor" was trending and Yenter was a hot topic.
The girl in the wedding dress should just have a blinking sign on her that says 'DESPERATE' #bachelor," Mary Kate tweeted.
"Omg to the girl who wore a wedding dress on the first night expect to be single for a long time #bachelor," Kelly Nolan tweeted.
"I figured out what i've been doing wrong. ..I haven't been wearing a wedding dress on first dates #bachelor," Allison tweeted.
Also among the other's who received a rose from Lowe was Sarah Herron, a 26-year-old junior art director from Colorado. Herron pulled Lowe aside and revealed a stunning secret.
"Obviously, there's something that I want to talk to you about because I don't want to make you uncomfortable," Herron said. "It's obviously that I was born with one arm."
Lowe kindly reassured her that he was in no way uncomfortable, and viewers applauded when her bravery scored her a spot in the next round.
Other contestants were no so lucky and ultimately sent home by Lowe upon their first meeting with the "Bachelor."
Ashley. P, who will forever be remembered as the forward woman obsessed with "Fifty Shades of Grey," was among seven contestants sent packing on the first night. Her drunken behavior was a clear indication that she was unaware about Lowe's dislike for party types.
"He's not looking for a Southern belle per se, but he's looking for a lady: someone who respects herself and her family," the show's host Chris Harrison told Us magazine on Oct. 28 in Los Angeles.
"It's not a crazy, 'Let's get drunk, let's get naked' type of season because that's not Sean. [The Bachelor] really does take the shape of the character and that's not him," he added.
