'The Big Bang Theory' Season 10 Episode 15 Spoilers: Leonard's Plan Backfires
In the new episode of "The Big Bang Theory" season 10, Leonard gives Sheldon a gift — a $4,000 ticket to a historic railway where the lucky recipient is not just a mere passenger, but also a guest engineer for a locomotive. This is all part of the plan for him to leave so that Leonard and Howard can work in peace on their guidance system.
In the episode's promo trailer, Sheldon receives the "ultimate gift" — a thoughtful gesture from Leonard and Howard for him to board a train as passenger, engineer and operator all in one.
It just so happens that the three of them are working on a navigational system, and they can't agree on the direction they're going with the device. Sheldon insists they can still improve it and make it smaller, and his tinkering was getting in the way of Leonard and Howard's efforts to get it finished.
It is interesting to note how Leonard has just the right specific thing on hand to keep Sheldon occupied. The two moves on to finish the system while Sheldon is beside himself with excitement over the trip.
The plan falls apart, naturally. Colonel Williams comes back and directs Leonard and Howard to do the project using Sheldon's calculations. It will prove to be impossible to finish it, however, as the one person who can make sense of those notes is currently in the depths of an obsession with locomotives.
On the girls' side, Bernadette has become increasingly stressed between her work and taking care of her baby. Penny and Amy take her with them for a girls' night out — leaving the infant Halley in Raj's and Stuart's care.
The night gets a bit complicated at that point. Bernadette is having some issues about leaving Halley with two guys, making it hard for her to enjoy their night out as she is worrying about her baby.
