'The Big Bang Theory' Season 11 Spoilers: Penny Becomes Close With Beverly; Howard Launches a Model Rocket With Sheldon
The upcoming episode of "The Big Bang Theory" season 11 will see Leonard (Johnny Galecki) feeling strange about Penny (Kaley Cuoco) becoming close with his mother.
The synopsis of the next episode, titled "The Explosion Implosion," states that Penny and Beverly (guest star Christine Baranski) will become best friends. However, Leonard, who has a complicated relationship with his mother, will not be too happy about it.
Elsewhere, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Howard (Simon Helberg) will find a common interest in model rockets. The two have not always been the best of friends, but it seems they will become closer when they decide to launch one of the models together in the desert.
A teaser trailer for the new episode has also been released. It opens with Penny talking to Beverly on the phone. Beverly confesses to her daughter-in-law that she does not have a lot of friends who are girls, and Penny acts shocked. She reveals to her husband that she and Beverly have "been talking a lot lately," which appears to upset him.
A sneak peek into the episode also checks in on what Sheldon and Howard are doing. The two, along with Raj (Kunal Nayyar), are going through some of Howard's old collection of model rockets. Sheldon points out that he owned a couple of the same model rockets and even burned down his garage with one of them.
Raj shares that he only had three model rockets when he was a child and "that was the largest space program in India." But one particular model rocket catches Sheldon's attention: the Replica Saturn 5. Howard tells him that his father purchased the rocket for him before he left them.
"The Big Bang Theory" season 11 airs Mondays, at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
