'The Big Bang Theory' Season 11 Spoilers: Sheldon Attempts to Be the New Professor Proton
The upcoming episode of "The Big Bang Theory" season 11 will see Sheldon (Jim Parsons) competing to be the new Professor Proton.
The synopsis of the next episode, titled "The Proton Regeneration," states that there is a hunt for the new Professor Proton. Sheldon will, of course, be interested in the role, but he will have to defeat others in his way — including Wil Wheaton (guest starring as himself).
Elsewhere, Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and Howard (Simon Helberg) will find themselves confined to the bed, leaving Penny (Kaley Cuoco) to take care of Halley in their place.
A teaser trailer for the new episode has also been released. It opens with Howard ringing a bell to call Bernadette to their bedroom. She asks him where he got the bell, and he shows her an app for it.
It also shows Sheldon in front of Wil's door. He tells his frenemy that he is in need of an acting coach, and Wil looks pleased and flattered at first. However, his smile is turned upside down when Sheldon asks him for Patrick Stewart's phone number.
Finally, Bernadette tells her husband that she has news for him, and he looks worried, keeping his fingers crossed that they are not having twins.
Three sneak peek videos into the upcoming episode have also been released. The first one sees the gang having a meal together at the usual apartment, and Sheldon informs everyone that "Professor Proton's Science Show" is going to be rebooted.
The second video shows Howard in bed, presumably sick. He invites his wife to watch a movie with him, but Bernadette has a checkup with her doctor. She will also buy Chinese takeaway for dinner and informs Howard that she will take Halley with her. Howard worries about her, but she assures him that it is okay. He then asks her to cook steaks instead but gives in to his wife's wishes after she serves him a look.
The final sneak peek sees Sheldon trying to convince Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Raj (Kunal Nayyar) to help him protest the reboot of "Professor Proton's Science Show," perhaps because he did not get the job of the new Professor Proton.
"The Big Bang Theory" season 11 airs Thursdays, at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
