'The Big Bang Theory' Season 11 Spoilers: Sheldon Works With Bert; Raj 'Keeps Things Casual' With Ruchi

The upcoming episode of "The Big Bang Theory" season 11 will see Sheldon (Jim Parsons) working with geology.

The synopsis of the next episode, titled "The Geology Methodology," states that Sheldon will be working with Bert (Brian Posehn) on a research project. Fans know that Sheldon dislikes geology and believes that it is the most inferior branch of science, so it will be interesting to see him collaborating with a geologist.

Elsewhere, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) will be worried about his relationship with Ruchi (Swati Kapila). He turns to Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) for help.

A teaser trailer for the new episode has also been released, as well as two sneak peek videos. The trailer shows Sheldon seeking out Penny for advice. He confides in her that he likes working with Bert, but he is worried that he will no longer be taken seriously should anyone find out about his involvement in geology. Penny is visibly irritated by Sheldon's indecisiveness.

The first sneak peek video shows the guys having lunch together at work. Raj asks them to come over to his place so they can watch cricket, which obviously does not sound appealing to his friends. Just then, Bert arrives and tells Sheldon of an exciting new research project. While Sheldon's interest is piqued, he nevertheless turns down Bert's offer to collaborate because he considers geology as a lesser science.

The second sneak peek video opens with Raj telling Penny that he and Ruchi have agreed to "keep things casual" between them. Penny scoffs at the very idea of Raj being able to keep it casual. He ultimately admits that he is not the most casual guy when it comes to relationships, so Penny advises him to give Ruchi some space. However, it is apparent that Raj is going to have a tough time doing just that.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 11 airs Thursdays, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
