'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 Episode 22 Spoilers: Zack, Penny's Ex Is Back; Claire May Give Raj Ultimatum
With just a few more episodes left to season nine, "The Big Bang Theory" gang set out for a wine tasting party in the next episode's airing. This includes Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Howard (Simon Helberg), Claire (Alessandra Torresani), Leonard (Johnny Galeck), Amy (Mayim Bialik), and Raj (Kunal Nayyar). To their surprise, they encounter Penny's ex-boyfriend Zack (Brian Thomas Smith) who proceeds to hit on Claire, who is Raj's girlfriend. Episode 22 is entitled "The Fermentation Bifurcation."
Claire herself is not too keen on Raj dating her and another woman, Emily (Laura Spencer). The upcoming episode may see a conclusion to this issue, as speculations have it that Claire may pointedly ask Raj to choose who he really wants to be with.
In the previous episode, Raj and Howard argued about this particular situation when Howard starts to get that his friend is somehow proud of his prowess with women, despite their discussion starting out the difficulties of dating more than one woman. This did not sit well with Howard.

Still, Claire does not seem happy about the fact that Zack has this interest in her. No mention has been made of how Penny or Raj are going to take this new development.
In another scene, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) decline to go to the wine tasting event and instead decide to stay in at Sheldon's 4a to spend some time together. Bernadette, being pregnant, could not go, so Sheldon stays with her. They play some games throughout the night and find out more about each other as the evening progresses.
As the beloved group of misfits go into the season finale, fans of "The Big Bang Theory" wonder what else is in store with only three more episodes to go. Is Sheldon going to find it in himself to propose to Amy? Is Raj going to decide which woman to pick as a steady? Is the audience going to find out whether Howard and Bernadette's baby will be a boy or a girl? Will Leonard find out his father's secret about him? Is the audience?
