'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 News: June Squibb Will Play Sheldon's Beloved Meemaw
It took nine seasons for Sheldon's (Jim Parsons) meemaw, or his maternal grandmother, to appear on "The Big Bang Theory," and she will be played by none other than June Squibb.
The 86-year-old actress was reported to play Sheldon's meemaw, whom the theoretical physicist has always been talking about constantly on the show. However, Entertainment Weekly reported that details about the Academy Award winner's character were being kept secret, but meemaw is said to appear in an episode to air next month. Fans are definitely excited to see Sheldon and his meemaw's interaction once the episode airs.
On the other hand, last night's episode featured a major change happening in Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette's (Melissa Rauch) life, after Stuart (Kevin Sussman) moved out of their house. The two were initially happy, and very much relieved, when Stuart announced that he will be leaving in about a few days.

However, when Stuart eventually left, the Wolowitz couple admitted that they both miss the comic book shop owner, and are both wondering why he hasn't bothered calling them days after. It was actually revealed at the end of the episode that Stuart still visit Howard and Bernadette during their sleep, which is really creepy. IGN even called Stuart's stalker tendencies as one of the highlights of the last episode, which was titled "The Sales Call Sublimation."
Meanwhile, "The Big Bang Theory" was the big winner on TV in the last People's Choice Awards, according to CBC News. The show won this year's fan's most favorite TV show and Network TV Comedy. The other big winner on the awards night, which was hosted by Jane Lynch, was Ellen DeGeneres. DeGeneres won for "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" as the most favorite daytime TV host, as well as a humanitarian award.
