'The Big Bang Theory' Season 9 News, Spoilers: Amy Caught Sheldon's Co-Worker's Interest

Things between Sheldon and Amy are expected to go from bad to worse as the ninth season of CBS' hit sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" moves on this week with an episode that will see Amy catching the interest of one of her ex-lover's colleague.

Titled "The Perspiration Implementation," the spoiler reports (via LatinPost.com) said that "Shamy" shippers might get a bit disappointed in this week's revelation about the real deal between the two geniuses. In fact, it appears that the two might not be reconciling soon as what is expected.

Complicating the situation is Sheldon who, instead of making the moves to win back Amy, appears to have reverted back to his old ways, making the thought of them making up seem more unlikely.

However, like most men who suffer a painful split, Sheldon will attempt to fend off any other guy from hooking up with his ex-lover.

The synopsis pointed out by the website particularly mentioned Sheldon's co-worker, Barry Kripke, who will try his luck to date Amy.

"The guys take a fencing lesson from Barry Kripke and Sheldon finds himself in an awkward position when Kripke expresses interest in Amy," the summary reads (via LP).

The promo video for the episode in fact featured a rather tense moment between the two males. In the clip, Sheldon asks the instructor if he can "stab" one of his friends.

Barry corrects Sheldon, telling the physicist that what he's talking about is called a "touch" and not a "stab." Sheldon quipped that it would sound so awkward if he used the slang instead of the one he's intending to do.

"Prepare yourself for some rigorous touching!" he said in the video.

Meanwhile, viewers will also get to see the girls, Penny, Amy and Bernadette, helping Stuart at the Comic Book Store attract female customers.

Find out how these events unfold when "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 airs this Monday, Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
